Since 1999, the duo of Claus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems dubbed as Cosmic Gate have given European trance fans jolts of energy caused by their electrifying progressive EDM sounds. They blew out of the scene with their hit singles "The Drums", "Exploration of Space", "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", and with their 2001 single "Fire Wire" causing a raging storm all over the UK, and a sonic boom that blasted far and wide, hitting the United States with a powerful impact.
With six album releases to their name, namely “Rhythm & Drums”, “No More Sleep”, “Earth Mover”, “Sign of the Times”, “Wake Your Mind” and “Start to Feel”, Cosmic Gate not only collected a swelling number of followers, but were recognized by award-giving bodies. They were given the nomination for Best Selling Trance Act in the 2010 Beatport Awards, and an IDMA nom for ‘Not Enough Time’ which propelled them to a nearly unprecedented 43 position move up DJ Mag’s Top 100 chart.
