Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Victoria. Consisting of Stu Mackenzie (vocals, guitar, keyboards, flute), Ambrose Kenny-Smith (vocals, harmonica, keyboards), Cook Craig (guitar, vocals), Joey Walker (guitar, vocals), Lucas Skinner (bass), Michael Cavanagh (drums, percussion), and Eric Moore (drums, percussion, management), they are known for their electrifying and energetic live shows where they showcase a range of genres within their work, blending surf music, garage rock and psychedelic rock with film music, progressive rock, folk, jazz, soul and heavy metal. The band has recorded a prolific string of albums, releasing thirteen full-length studio albums since their 2012 debut 12 Bar Bruise, releasing five albums in 2017 alone.
