Bringing #LoveArmy and CNN commentator Van Jones, as well as of artists, athletes, thought leaders and local leaders, to start a dialogue on how to tackle America's problems, WE RISE looks to unite and engage on both the local and national levels, so that WE RISE – all of us together!

Best known as host of “The Messy Truth, with Van Jones,” Yale-educated attorney and CNN commentator Van Jones is also the founder and president of Dream Corps, a nonprofit organization that works to solve America’s toughest problems. The 2017 commencement keynote speaker for Morehouse College, Jones has garnered honors from the World Economics Forum, Times “100 Most Influential” List and Fast company, and won the 2017 Webby Special Achievement Award for his use of the Internet and social media during the 2016 election, including for his video series “The Messy Truth”. Jones worked as the ‘green jobs’ advisor to the Obama White House in 2009, where he helped run the interagency process that oversaw $80 billion in green energy recovery spending. Writer of two New York Times bestsellers: The Green Collar Economy, the definitive book on green jobs, and Rebuild the Dream, a roadmap for progressives, Jones releases his third book, beyond the Messy Truth: How We Came Apart & How We Came Together, in October 2017. He is also cofounder of numerous social justice organizations including ColorofChange.org and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.
