As one of the biggest bands in music, Coldplay have proven their talents over the years with their long list of chart topping singles and album releases. Together the members Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion have transformed their career over the past two decades and counting, from a local and underground rock band in the London, UK scene to the international superstar status that we all know of them today. Coldplay have progressed to becoming one of the most successful groups of modern day music and with their rocketing sales, they have gained a wide spread following around the globe, leading them to perform on some of the greatest stages worldwide and the largest stadium venues, with larger than life sold out crowds.
Coldplay kick started their mainstream career with the release of their groundbreaking and unforgettable debut album Parachutes, which gained a nomination for the Mercury Prize. The record included one of their biggest singles to date "Yellow" – a captivating emotional song which Chris Martin has described as "refers to the mood of the band. Their sheer passion and dedication to the band truly paid off as they made it in the music business and continued to gain success from their following album releases from their second record, A Rush of Blood to the Head in 2002, to their more electronic release of X&Y in 2005, their powerful orchestral rock album Viva La Vida all the way up until A Head Full of Dreams where they embarked on a more pop orientated sound in 2015 and their most recent, Everyday Life dropped in 2019.
As their sound has shifted and developed throughout the years, Coldplay are noted to be one of the most hard working bands around and are known for their effort to make their music accessible and well recieved to the masses!
