From 1988 down to their most recent release "Strawberry Hotel" in 2024, the British electronic group, Underworld, has shaken up the scene with their unique groove. With hypnotic, energy-filled, and intense hits to their name, the "Born Slippy Nuxx" hitmakers are looking forward to partying with all their fans across the United States in a special tour this fall.
With lyrics that take you through Hyde's stream of consciousness, it's a surreal sonic experience that you just can't get anywhere else. Their critically-acclaimed albums from the 90s', "Dubnobasswithmyheadman", "Second Toughest in the Infants", and "Beaucoup Fish" hav defined their place in the electronic circuit. To this day, the band has kept their legcacy alive with non-stop tours and surprise shows alongside new music.
Their newest album "Strawberry Hotel" was listed by Brooklyn Vegan as one of their "40 great 2024 albums from indie & alternative legends" list.
"That Hyde and Smith are still going new places while delivering what we want from an Underworld album is impressive given these two have been making music together since 1982 with no signs of slowing down," wrote Bill Pearis of Brooklyn Vegan.

Remembering how no one stopped dancing at their early gigs at the Ministry of Sound in London, "One of the things we wanted to achieve was to play live in such a way that nobody stopped dancing, so we played like a DJ, segueing into the set. Virtually nobody knew [were playing like that], and, in a way, that was the measure of success of the gig," Hyde shared in an interview with Billboard.
