Pronounced as ‘gesture’ — JSTJR is one of the hottest names in EDM today. Also called as the “rave daddy,” the New England-born & LA-based producer spent the last decade shaping his reputation for genre-defying sets that mash techno, house, trap, and Latin influences in one mix. Gaining attention for his early work in “global bass”, he’s come a long way. With several releases on Mad Decent, Ultra Records, Insomniac, and more, he’s become one of the most respected producers in the industry today. Redefining techno and bringing underground to the mainstream surface, it’s clear why demand has been skyrocketing for his Techno Playground nights.

Starting his own community-based record label “Group Chat,” the man hopes to inspire other underground artists and passionate rising names in EDM to embrace their own sound. “Mad Decent was always a massive inspiration to me and it’s a label we strive to live up to one day at Group Chat,” JSTJR shared with iEDM.

Across the board, the man is simply having fun — putting out sure-fire mixes that’ll get the ground shaking, and the crowd going wild. “I’m just making what is fun for me right now and what i like to play the most. I think it’s making both my sets and my music better,” he added.
