Founded by a group of friends and family members in 1989, Banda Los Recoditos is a mexican band with over two dozen band members playing a variety of instruments including clarinet, trombone, trumpet, tambour and percussion. After several member and lead vocal changes, the band have gotten better, honed, and evolved with a more contemporary band style that appealed to the MTV generation of Mexico. With their ever-increasing popularity, they were awarded with the ‘Popular Breakthrough of the Year’ at the annual Premios Oye! awards for their album, “Si No Existieras” in 2005. Their 15th album “'¡Ando Bien Pedo! ,“ also went on to top the Billboard Latin Albums Chart, with the title track also topping the Latin Singles Chart. Now, they are savoring crossover success and slowly but surely making a name for themselves among North American audiences.
