In celebration of the release of her debut album, JADE tells NME that she wants “people to feel like they’re literally hearing me find my sound,” recognizing that some people might feel that the songs are kind of all over the place. “And I wanted it to sound like that. I want you to listen and be like, ‘Oh god, what’s she coming out with next?'”

THE STORY OF JADE

JADE is no stranger to the limelight, but her story is no simple feat. The singer first appeared on TV at the age of 15, back in 2008. While everyone might know her as a member of Little Mix, her humble beginnings showed her dedication to making it big in the industry. Chasing every opportunity, third time’s the charm. In 2011, she returned to the X-Factor, and later marked her big success as part of the supergroup “Little Mix.” They became the first girl group to make it past week seven in the show’s history at the time. They were also the first to make it to the final, and won the season. 

With over 50 songwriting credits under Little Mix, Jade Thirlwall is a natural-born singer & songwriter. Every single track she writes speaks to the heart. These include her co-writing contributions to the group’s global hit singles, "Wings" in 2012 and "Shout Out to My Ex" in 2016.

In 2022, each member pursued solo careers, and JADE made great use of her time to reinvent her sound and share her true self. Beyond her solo hits like “Angel of My Dreams,” “Fantasy,” “FUFN (Fuck You for Now),” “Plastic Box,” “Gossip” with Confidence Man, and “Unconditional,” she also participated in sick collabs with other artists  — Le Sserafim’s “Hot,” PinkPantheress’s “Tonight,” Rose Gray’s “Angel of Satisfaction,” and Kesha’s “Boy Crazy.”
