If you were wondering about Social Distortion’s new stuff, whether they have crashed and burned, or grew old and soft, rest assured: those signature gritty riffs are alive and well; Mike Ness’ unmistakable gravely voice is sounding fantastic and as punchy as ever; the stripped-down, streetwise vibe is pumping; the melodic grit is as powerful as always; and the defiance, irreverence, and in-your-face attitude is as explosive as way back!
Social Distortion has dropped the title track from the upcoming album, and everybody - from grizzled punks to the newer generations - agree: Social Distortion is rough and rowdy, and is about to set the punk scene on fire again! It’s that very same Orange County punk tinged with rockabilly and Americana; pure punk with that classic roots rock swagger, and no frills to be found anywhere - and it’s coming to you this fall!
Social Distortion will be hitting the road for their North American Tour in late August 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, with stops in Dallas, Raleigh, Asbury Park, Brooklyn, Denver, San Francisco, Reno, and Philadelphia, among others, on the cards. The tour is scheduled to wrap up in early October 2026 in San Diego, California.
Social Distortion released their first two albums in 1983 and 1988 respectively, but it was their eponymous third album that cemented them as an internationally acclaimed punk force with face-melters such as Ball and Chain, Story Of My Life, and their cover of Johnny Cash’s Ring Of Fire. They are considered one of the best-selling, pioneering, and most influential punk rock bands ever. The band currently comprises frontman and lead guitarist Mike Ness, rhythm guitarist Johnny “2 Bags” Wickersham, bassist Brent Harding, and drummer David Hidalgo Jr.
Social Distortion will be joined at the iconic Hollywood Palladium by Frank Navetta’s punk rock outfit The Descendents, best known for face-melting hits such as In Love This Way, Myage, and Good Good Things.
The legendary Hollywood Palladium is gearing up for a pedal-to-the-metal kind of punk fest - and with this historic venue’s reputation of bringing the best of the best in all things live entertainment to California for nearly nine decades, 2026 is going to be a year for the books!
