The new album is going to be called Born To Kill. It’s these punk veterans’ first album in 15 years, and their eighth one overall.
Their iconic, defiant punk attitude? Untouched by age, as unfiltered as ever. That legendary melodic grit, roots rock swagger, and fierce irreverence? Yup, very much there. Concerned about Mike Ness’ vocals after his cancer diagnosis? No need to. His voice is as fierce, as unmistakable, as punchy as ever. But a return of punk in an era dominated by electronically produced music? Oh yes. Rock isn’t just thriving in 2026, it’s biting back - and hard.
Grizzled punk veterans Social Distortion has just announced a massive North American outing - so if you were wondering, they are alive and very, very well. The tour is slated to rain havoc upon all the major North American venues from late August 2026, starting in Phoenix, Arizona, with stops in Nashville, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Detroit, Salt Lake City, Reno, and San Francisco, among others, on the itinerary, before taking a bow in early October 2026 in San Diego, California.
Mike Ness and his henchmen turned the musical world on its head in 1981 with the release of their debut single Mainliner, becoming a pioneering band in the Southern California punk rock movement out of Orange County. Being described as “fast, angry, and energetic”, Social Distortion cemented themselves as a no-frills punk group with the mind-blowing ability to get a crowd fired up, a slicker-than-most outfit that is relevant - and still is, and one of the biggest punk punches ever delivered to the solar plexus of the music industry. Their influences are far reaching, and are evident in the music of bands and artists such as Avenged Sevenfold, Rise Against, Black Veil Brides, Pearl Jam, The Offspring, and Thrice, among others.
Social Distortion will be joined on tour by American punk icons The Descendents, best known for face-melters such as In Love This Way and Myage, along with Australian punk rockers The Chats, the band behind hits such as Smoko and Pub Feed.
The iconic Hollywood Palladium, situated at 6215 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, is one of the nation’s most historic, most legendary live entertainment venues. Here you’ll find the best of the best from around the world, with not one ounce of disappointment! The venue boasts top-tier lighting and sound, great acoustics, fantastic sight-lines, and modern amenities, along with room for up to 4,000 concertgoers across a massive general admission floor space, balconies with standing room and seating options, along with a VIP area.
So come on out and feast on pure punk that will send you reeling - get your tickets now!
