Cut copy were formed in 2001 in Melbourne by DJ and Graphic designer Dan Whitford. The band now includes Tim Hoey, Ben Browning and Mitchell Scott. They have released 4 studio albums and achieved breakthrough success with their second album, In Ghost Colours. They take musical inspiration from successful music artists like Air, Daft Punk, and LCD Soundsystem. Free Your Mind was released in late 2013 by Modular and new American label Loma Vista. Their latest album free your mind was promoted with pre-release listening sessions taking place at six specific worldwide locations for all those which fans could access through a smartphone.
