Born into a musical family and taught to sing by her father, Dua Lipa’s career began early. At the age of 14, she began to use YouTube to gain a following, posting her versions of songs by her favorite artists, including P!nk and Nelly Furtado. Age 15, she moved to London to pursue a career as a singer.
Soon, she was picked up by Warner Music Group, and began work on her first album in 2015. Gradually, she began to release singles, starting with "New Love", produced by Emile Haynie and Andrew Wyatt. Her second single, “Be The One,” had huge success across Europe, reaching number one in several countries, and her fifth, “"Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” made it into the US charts. Her sixth, “New Rules,” hit number 1 in the UK, staying there for two weeks! By the time her first album was released in June 2017, Dua Lipa had a global devoted following.
